Olive Ceramics has been inspired by the idea of having long lasting and beautiful handmade pieces which are both practical and decorative. My passion for ceramics blossomed whilst learning about ceramics techniques in the Ancient World. Hard working artisans produced ceramic objects which were not only durable but also provided an important medium for expression. For my own pieces I work on the wheel as well as hand building. I take inspiration from the colours, patterns, shapes and movement in the natural world.
